Q. Are women getting more technologically savvy?
A. Yes, definitely. Gadgets are no longer just the remit of teenage boys. Nowadays, we use technology constantly and everyone can benefit from the ways in which it makes our lives easier – and more importantly – lots more fun.

Q. What do you think about gadgets that are designed especially for women?
A. I think it’s great that technology is being marketed more towards women – whether that means traditional ‘girlie’ pink, which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea – or just made with fashion in mind. Let’s face it, no-one wants to pull a big grey lump of tech from their designer handbag.

Q. What can be a girl’s most useful gadget?
A. I’d have to say a good phone that means your bag isn’t bulging with gadgetry. And a digital compact camera such as the Casio EX-Z1080 (page 93) is a must. It is 10.1MP so your Facebook pics will be embarrassingly pin-sharp.

Q. What advice would you give men on buying a gadget for their partner?
A. Think about their interests and consider what gadget would make that experience better. Most importantly – don’t panic. And keep the receipt.
