Since starting in 1981 as a small California jeans company, Guess has become a global lifestyle brand. The Guess founders Maurice and Paul Marciano, reintroduced denim in the early 80s as a potent force in fashion with their timeless, sensuous and chic designs.

Quickly infiltrating popular culture, Guess became an icon of the generation creating ground-breaking advertising campaigns featuring sexy, sultry models previously unknown in the industry. Almost overnight models such as Claudia Schiffer (above), Carrè Otis, Eva Herzigova, and Naomi Campbell became household names thanks to the original Guess campaigns. Their aspirational style continued when the Marciano brothers launched the ‘Faces to Watch’ campaign in 2006, which saw 75,000 global unknowns apply to be the new face of Guess Watches. History repeated itself with one of the winners achieving superstar status almost immediately. Vancouver’s Serinda Swan is the face of an online poker company in the US and is currently being courted by top Hollywood producers. Despite being the one to watch, she holds her position in the Guess stable above all others.
